Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy explains what Hari Hara Mandir collects when you book a pooja, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

  • Your mobile number. This is how you sign in — we do not use passwords — and how we send your booking confirmation.
  • Sankalpam details. The names, gotra and, if you supply them, nakshatra and rashi of the devotees to be named in the ritual.
  • Booking and payment records. What you booked, when, and the amount. Card and UPI details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
  • Optional profile details. Name, email and preferred language, if you choose to add them.
  • Technical data. IP address, device and browser information, and pages visited — used for security, fraud prevention and improving the site.

Why we collect it

  • To perform the ritual you booked and name you correctly in the sankalpam.
  • To deliver your pooja video and booking updates.
  • To prevent abuse of the OTP system, which costs us real money per message.
  • To meet tax and accounting obligations.
  • To measure and improve the site, using the analytics described below.

Sankalpam details are shared with the temple

The names and gotra you provide are given to the purohit performing the ritual — that is the purpose of collecting them. They are not used for marketing and are not sold to anyone.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Tag Manager to load analytics and advertising tags, which may include Google Analytics, Meta (Facebook) and Snapchat. These set cookies and may record pages you visit and bookings you complete, so we can understand which channels bring devotees to us. They do not receive your sankalpam details.

How long we keep it

Booking and payment records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes. One-time passwords are deleted shortly after use. You may ask us to delete your account at any time — see Account Deletion.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to help@hariharamandir.com from the number or email on your account.

Security

Sessions are signed and stored in a secure, HTTP-only cookie. One-time passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text, and can be used only once. We do not store card details.

Children

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
